Popular Port Klang eatery damaged in morning fire
FIVE shops in Port Klang, including a popular Indian eatery, were destroyed or damaged by fire, Tamil dailies reported.
The fire reportedly started in an empty shop at about 10am on Wednesday and quickly spread to neighbouring shops, which includes Meiyappan Restaurant.
Firefighters arrived quickly but struggled to bring the fire under control due to the widespread water shortage in Selangor.
Fire engines from four other areas were called in and they struggled to bring the blaze under control for nearly an hour before more water tankers were brought in.
However, there were no reports of injuries.
