33 injured at fireworks festival

More than 1 million people packed parks along the Han River in Seoul to enjoy the 2013 International Fireworks Festival on Saturday night.
Unfortunately, 33 spectators sustained minor injuries, the Seoul Metropolitan Fire & Disaster Headquarters said Sunday.
Most of them sustained bruises while they were moving among the huge crowds. A three-year-old girl fractured her left hand and was taken to a nearby hospital, and dozens of people who got superficial injuries received first aid from rescue members at the site.
The rescue agency dispatched 28 ambulances and fire trucks with more than 100 personnel to the site to prepare for emergency situations.
The fireworks festival is an annual event hosted by Hanwha Group along the Han River near 63 Building in Yeouido.
