Four-storey commercial complex gutted

HYDERABAD: The second floor of a four-storey commercial complex in Raj Bhavan Road was gutted here on Wednesday. The fire broke out in the office of a private tractor company. Office equipment including computers and other electrical devices were gutted. The fire control room was alerted at 6.05 pm but the fire engines from Secretariat, Film Nagar and Secunderbad fire stations, reached the spot only at 7 pm due to heavy traffic and rain. There was no one at the office at time of the mishap.
The fire officials, however, had to break the glass facade of the office to pump in water as thick smoke accumulated in the rooms.
The cause of the fire is being ascertained, officials said.
