Four injured in cylinder blast in Shimla

SHIMLA: Four people were injured and four houses were damaged in a cylinder blast on the outskirts of Shimla on Sunday morning.
Panic had gripped Jutogh locality of Shimla when a deafening blast was heard around 5.30am. According to police, the blast occurred when someone tried to light a stove near a gas cylinder, which was leaking. The injured have been identified as Vikrant, Satya Devi and her two sons Nitin and Arun.
Three houses were gutted while another one was partially damaged in the incident.
“The injured have received around 20% burn injuries and they have been rushed to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital for treatment,” the cops added.
