14-year-old girl killed in predawn QC fire

A 14-year-old girl was killed in a predawn fire that hit a residential area in Quezon City Sunday.
The fire occurred along the Republic Avenue in Barangay West Fairview, radio dzBB’s Manny Vargas reported.
Chief Inspector Aristotle Banaga of the Quezon City Bureau of Fire Protection said the fire razed two houses, and may have caused P100,000 in property damage.
Initial investigation showed the girl returned to their house to save some belongings.
She also brought a pail to help put out the fire, but failed to come out of the house.
Arson investigators are verifying information burning debris collapsed on her when she returned to her burning house.
Investigators are also looking into what caused the fire.
