A woman was killed in a predawn fire that razed a house in Barangay Baesa in Quezon City before dawn Saturday.
The woman was said to have been trapped in her house at Sitio Militar in Baesa village, radio dzBB reported.
She reportedly suffocated due to the smoke, said to an earlier report by dzBB’s Roland Bola.
Initial investigation showed the fire started at about 1 a.m. and was put out by firefighters shortly. No alarm was raised.
Investigators are still determining what caused the fire.
On Friday, a fire also at Barangay Baesa razed 50 houses, with three volunteer firefighters injured. — DVM, GMA News
