Andhra Pradesh: One killed in fire mishap in Kakinada

KAKINADA: A 65-year-old woman lost her life in a fire that took place in Gandhi Park in Elwinpet, Kakinada early on Friday morning.
Four houses were also gutted in the incident.
“The fire broke out in a thatched roof house at around 4am. The incident took place after a woman tried to light the stove due to which a cylinder in the house exploded,” said the assistant fire officer of Kakinada.

“Three other houses caught fire while the inmates were asleep,” said locals.
According to locals, one more cylinder in another house exploded due to the fire in the thatched house.
Two fire tenders went to the spot to douse the flames.
The deceased woman has been identified as Tummalapalli Lakshmi.
