DAMOH: Seven buses were gutted in fire at a bus stand in Damoh district of Bundelkhand region, Madhya Pradesh early on Thursday morning.
Fire brigade took over two hours to douse the flames.
“An elderly man, who was sleeping in one of the burnt buses, was rescued,” said police.
The cause behind the fire is uncertain.
CCTV footages of the neighbouring areas of the bus stand are being scanned to find out the cause behind the fire.
“Investigations are on to find out the reasons behind the incident,” said city superintendent of police (CSP).
The buses that were gutted belonged to different travelling agencies.
