Fire hits plastics dump site in Batangas

A dump site of plastic waste in Tanauan City, Batangas was hit by fire, according to the report of Emil Sumangil on State of the Nation.
The site is filled with plastic resin that is used to make high grade plastic products.
Fire out was declared by firefighters after spending about 14 hours at the site, which has been used for five years as dumping ground for scrap waste by companies at the nearby industrial park.
The local government unit and the Bureau of Fire Protection are conducting an investigation to determine the identity of those responsible for the fire. — BAP, GMA News
