Fire breaks out at Nacharam factory

Hyderabad: A major fire broke out at an industrial unit at Mallapur in Nacharam on Tuesday morning. Thick smoke emanating from the incident site, led to tensions in residential areas nearby.
Fire department officials said the fire had broken out at a plastic chair manufacturing unit as a result of a short circuit. Police alerted the fire department who rushed the fire tenders.
“Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot. It took us over four hours to extinguish the fire,” said Moula Ali fire station officer, Durga Prasad. While no casualties were reported, officials informed that the property damage is yet to be assessed.
