HYDERABAD: A minor fire broke out in the cellar of a star hotel in Shamshabad on Friday evening when a steam boiler caught fire due to overheating. No casualties were reported.
The hotel staff alerted the fire department officials at 6.40pm. Fire officials rushed to the spot and doused the fire. “It took about 20 minutes to douse the fire. No major property damage was reported in the initial findings, but an investigation has been ordered,” said T Purnachandar, district fire officer, Rajendra Nagar.
Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot, officials said.
