Asia’s longest covered bridge, destroyed by fire, cannot be repaired, xinhuanet.com reportedon Dec 5.
Massive fire ripped through the 303-meter wooden structure on Nov 28, and local authoritiesnow plan to rebuild it, the report said.
The Fengyu Bridge, which ran across the Apeng River in Chongqing, is famous for itstraditional beauty topped by a pagoda-style roof.
The report also said the cause of the fire was under investigation.
