Fire breaks out at pharmacy in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A fire broke out at a pharmaceutical shop at the industrial area in Prashanth Nagar in Kukatpally on Saturday afternoon.
No casualties were reported, police said. Officials suspect a short circuit led to the fire. Staff who were at work noticed the fire and alerted the fire department and police, after which a fire engine rushed to the spot and doused the fire within an hour.
“It is a market place and the shop was full of plastic, fibre, pharma material and inflammable material. Though there were employees present inside at the time, no one were hurt,” an official said, adding the cost of the property damaged was yet to be estimated.
