KATHMANDU: Property worth Rs 400,000 was gutted in a fire that erupted last night at a grocery shop owned by one Bikash Khadka (28) in Jorpati-2, near the temple of Ardhauleshwor Mahadev.
The shop was located at the ground floor of the two-storey house of the temple’s conservation committee. According to police, the cause of fire that sparked at around 12 am has been identified as electric short circuit.
Police took the fire under control with the help of locals.
