Major fire at godown in Dilli Darwaza

Ahmedabad: A major fire was reported from an auto parts and oil godown in Khajuraho ni Pol near Ghanchi Hall in Dilli Darwaza late on Saturday. The fire was brought under control and no casualties were reported.
Since the fire was reported from an oil godown in a residential area, 13 fire-fighting vehicles, six officers and 36 fire personnel were deployed to fight the fire.
The godown was being used to store auto parts and retail oil pouches. “It was probably being operated illegally as it was in a heavily populated residential area,” said fire officials. TNN
