Mother‚ sons killed in blaze

JHAPA: Three of a family were charred to death when fire engulfed a house at Dudhebazaar of Satasidham VDC in Jhapa on Saturday night. The deceased have been identified as Manika Bhattarai, 32, and her sons Nikesh,13, and Nishan, 7. Manika’s husband is working in Europe. Locals of Morang Darbesha, Manika and her sons had been living at Ganesh Bajagain’s rented house. Locals suspect the fire started from a lit candle. The blaze had gone out of control by the time neighbours came to know about it. According to Inspector Chiranjivi Koirala, the three bodies were charred beyond recognition. Nikesh was a student at Surunga-based Paragon English Boarding School and Nishan was studying at local Dhrubatara Boarding School.
