Major fire breaks out at scrap shop in Thiruvananthapuram

Massive plumes of smoke can be seen billowing into the houses and shops nearby
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A major fire broke out in a scrap shop at Karamana in Thiruvananthapuram on Monday.
According to local residents, there are shops and houses near the scrap shop where the fire has been spotted.
The fire force personnel and local residents are battling thick black smoke which is affecting the rescue operations.
Ward councillor said one of the houses had caught fire and many residents were being evacuated.
