Furniture Factory Destroyed In Fire In Tawau

TAWAU, Jan 11 (Bernama) — A plaster ceiling-making factory at kilometer 9.6 Jalan Apas here was destroyed in a fire at 9am today.
Tawau Fire and Rescue Department Chief, Rudy Fredzeh said two vehicles with 11 crew members hurried to the scene immediately after receiving a report at 9.20am.
“The fire brigade arrived at 9.33am and managed to control the fire at 10.03am while operations ended at 12.45pm,” he said.
He added that the cause of the fire and extent of damage was still being investigated. No loss of life has been reported.
