Thane: One injured in blaze at scrap godown in Bhiwandi

The reason behind the fire is yet to be known.
KALYAN: One person was injured after a major fire broke out at a scrap godown in Thane district’s Bhiwandi on Sunday morning.
The injured worker has been identified as Ataullah Khan (18). He has been rushed to Nair hospital in Mumbai for treatment.
The fire took place in the Faizan compound located at Dhamankar Naka area in Bhiwandi.
The Bhiwandi fire department has brought the fire under control and said the blaze has caused huge damage to the godown.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be known. As a precautionary measure, the power supply to the area has been cut off.
In a span of over one month, Bhiwandi town which is the hub of warehouses has reported over six fire incidents.
