Fire hits Barangay Paligsahan, Quezon City; 600 families affected

A fire hit a residential area in Barangay Paligsahan in Quezon City late Monday evening, according to the report of GMA News’ James Agustin on Saksi.
The fire started a few minutes after 10 p.m. at the corner of Mother Ignacia Street and Don A. Roces Avenue.
It quickly spread as most of the houses were made of light materials.
The fire reached the second alarm before it was put out past 12 a.m.
The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said 300 homes were affected by the fire, according to Agustin’s report on GMA News’ Unang Balita on Tuesday.
