Moneylenders set man’s house on fire

Ahmedabad: A 40-year-old Chainpur resident has filed a complaint against three moneylenders, stating that they set his house on fire early on Friday.
Satyavan Singh Rajput, a resident of Aksharpark Society, said that he had taken Rs 2.60 lakh from Soorajpal Singh, Sundar Singh Rajput, and Anil Yadav about three years ago.
Satyavan said in the FIR that he had already paid Rs 3.50 lakh to them but they were demanding Rs 7 lakh more. As he was unable to pay that, they had in December attacked him. Satyavan had suffered multiple fractures.
At about 4am on Friday, the accused came to Satyavan’s house, abused him, and set his house on fire. The main door of the house and several items were gutted.
Satyavan called the police control room and later filed a complaint with Sabarmati police.
