1 killed, 5 injured in a fire accident in Saharanpur

MEERUT: A fire broke out at a house in Gangoh area of Saharanpur district on Tuesday morning, killing a 50-year-old woman named Roshni Devi and leaving five family members injured.
After receiving the information about the incident, the police and fire brigade rushed to the spot. The fire brigade took two hours to douse the fire and all the injured people were rushed to the hospital where doctors declared Devi dead. According to Pravindra Singh, police inspector, Gangoh, the incident took place in Makhdoom Jahan locality during wee hours on Tuesday. The injured were identified as Praveen (32), his wife Shefali (30), son Onik (8) and two daughters and Avni. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
