Fire and rescue personnel broke open the terrace door and rescued 29 people. Six others who were trapped on the third floor were later rescued using a sky-lift ladder. The victims were given first aid by the para-medics staff who were waiting outside the accident spot and later treated as out-patients at the Kilpauk Medical College (KMC) hospital.
