Four godowns destroyed in fire

Indore: A major fire was reported in Malwa Mill Square area on Wednesday evening in which four godowns — two of cotton and two of wood and tyres were gutted A senior official of fire department said that the fire started from one of the cotton godowns at around 7.10pm, and spread to other three godowns. The fire lasted for more than three hours, gutting goods worth several lakhs of rupees.
Seven fire tenders were brought in to bring the blaze under control, SP (fire) RS Nigwal said. “The cause of fire could not be known. No one was injured but most of the cotton stock at the godown seems to have been gutted,” he said.
