Building fire at Bonifacio Global City under control – report

A Monday morning fire at the MC Home Depot building at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig was declared to be under control, according to a report on GMA 7 morning program “Unang Hirit”.
The fire was said to have broken out at 1:30 a.m. and reached a Task Force Alpha alert. The fire was reported to be controlled by 3:55 a.m., though the Bureau of Fire Protection had not yet declared it to be out.
No casualties were reported.
According to BFP, the MC Home Depot contained cement, tiles and paints.
Meanwhile, area security guards said the fire was preceded by a power outage at the BGC. When the power came back on, something “sparked” and this was when a fire broke out at the Depot.
The MC Home Depot management have yet to issue a statement. — DVM, GMA News
