Vadodara: Firemen spent a few stressful moments on Tuesday when one of its tankers caught fire on the BPC Road. The fire was doused within minutes and no one was injured in the incident. The van that was full of water suffered some damages in the front portion, said fire brigade officials.
Firemen received a call about flames erupting from a drainage line on the BPC Road in Alkapuri on Tuesday morning and sent a tanker to the spot to douse the flames that was caused reportedly due to the leakage in gas line.
Within minutes, however, flames erupted from the manhole right next to the tanker that was parked nearby.
The water tanker’s front portion caught fire but the firemen managed to douse the flames immediately. A similar incident had occurred in 2021 in Shiyapura and in 2020 in Alkapuri when flames erupted from the drainage line.
