HCM CITY (VNS)— A fire yesterday, which took five hours to extinguish in HCM City’s District 12, destroyed a timber factory and a toy factory.
Officials say no casualties were reported.
Witnesses said the fire started mid-day at Thien An Company’s timber warehouse on Le Van Khuong Street. Officials said warehouse workers were unsuccessful as they attempted to extinguish the fire.
The fire then spread to the Nam Hoa Toy Company. Nearly 100 firefighters arrived at the scene, extinguishing the fire after 5 hours. An investigation into the fire is underway. — VNS
