Fire Destroys 77 Cars At Workshop In Selayang

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 (Bernama) — Seventy-seven cars were destroyed at a workshop in a fire that also gutted three other shops in Batu 8, Selayang, near here Monday night, according to the Selangor Fire and Rescue Department.
Its assistant director of operations, Mohamad Sani Harul, told BERNAMA, 25 cars were saved during the fire which occurred at about 8 pm.
He said the department was summoned at 8.08 pm and the 12 officers and personnel rushed there in two trucks from the Selayang and Gombak fire stations putting out the fire in about an hour.
“An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the fire and the damage,” he said.
