Two persons died in a fire that hit their house located along Leo Street, Barangay Talon Tres in Las Piñas City early Thursday morning, Jhomer Apresto reported on Super Radyo’s DZBB.
The fatalities were identified as Angelita Sopelanas, 44, and Steve Sopelanas, 12 years old.
According to Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) officials, the remains of the victims were found near the bathroom.
The fire started around 3:44 a.m. and lasted for more than one hour. Officials declared a fire out at 4:02 a.m.
BFP said only one house was razed but five families are affected.
Officials have yet to determine the cost of damage, the cause of the fire and the number of persons injured.
