Maharashtra: Fire breaks out alongside tracks in Palghar

MUMBAI: Dry vegetation alongside the tracks near Gholvad railway station caught fire on Thursday night.
The fire was extinguished and no injury was reported.
The fire was reported alongside the track in the down direction (towards Gujarat) at around 8.07pm. The fire brigade reached the spot and doused the fire by 8.44pm.
The cause of the fire has not been ascertained. A light engine (locomotive operating without a train behind it) was halted on the tracks while the fire was being doused. Train services were not hit.
