Four shops gutted in fire

Indore: Four commercial establishments including a cafe were gutted in a major fire that broke out at a commercial complex market in Bhawarkuan area on Friday morning, the fire department officials said.
Officials said that the fire started at around 06.30am from SkyLight Cafe on the road between Bhawarkuan Square and Bhlaram Ustad Marg, in which a freezer, machine and furniture were destroyed. The fire soon spread to two of the adjacent coaching institutes and a books & stationery shop, gutting items like books, stationery, computers, furniture, electronic equipment, with an estimated worth of several lakhs of rupees, they said. Around 3.25 lakh litre of water was used in the operation and the situation was brought under control within four hours,” SP (fire) RS NIgwal said, while adding that no one was injured in the fire.
