Major fire breaks out in laboratory in Thane

THANE: A major fire broke out in a laboratory located at the Ambika Nagar area of Wagle Estate of Thane on Saturday.
Sources from the regional disaster management cell of Thane Municipal Corporation said that the incident was reported at around 10pm at Silica Scientific Works laboratory.
Fire brigade as well as MSEDCL employees rushed to the spot.
An official said that there are LPG cylinders inside the company premises and blasts are being heard which has triggered fear among the residents living nearby.
The residents claimed that they have heard blasts a couple of times.
So far, no casualty or injury have been reported in the incident.
