Properties gutted in rented room‚ parked bus catches fire

KATHMANDU: Properties worth approximately Rs 1,50,000 were reduced to ashes as fire engulfed a rented room of Madhav Acharya at Koteshwor, KMC-35 in the Capital on Monday night.
The fire broke out due to electrict shortcircuit at around 11:15 pm, according to the police.
Ghimire hails from Diktel-4 of Khotang district.
In another incident, a parked minibus caught fire at Birendra Chowk, Gothatar-8 this afternoon.
The front part of the bus (Ba 2 Kha 7013), owned by Yubak Shrestha of Kavre, has been damaged in the fire, police said.
With the help of locals, police doused the fire.
