Fire guts resto-bar in Aundh

Pune: A fire broke out in a restaurant & bar on the terrace of a 10-storey commercial complex Aundh IT Park around 5.45am on Wednesday.
No one suffered injuries, the city fire brigade said.
“Five fire tenders rushed to the spot and doused the flames within an hour. The cause of the fire remains unknown, and a further investigation is on,” city fire chief Sunil Gilbile told TOI. “The city fire brigade had not issued a no-objection certificate (NOC) to the establishmen. Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) issues NOCs to rooftop restaurants in consultation with the fire brigade,” Gilbile added.
At the time of the fire, the staff was not at the location.
