Fire in RMLIMS basement, none hurt

Lucknow: A fire broke out in the basement of the academic block of Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences (RMLIMS) on Tuesday morning.
The fire occurred in the upper electrical panel room.
No loss of life or property has been reported in the incident caused due to short-circuit in one of the panel switches. This was the third incident of fire in the past 10 days in the institute.
Earlier, a similar incident was reported on the 4th floor of the same building on Monday morning, while a short-circuit in the ceiling light in the Covid ward of the emergency wing had led to fire around noon on Sunday.
RMLIMS spokesperson Prof AP Jain said that the alertness of their fire team was commendable as they brought the fire under control within 10 minutes every time.
“No one was hurt and we showed we are well-equipped to deal with such incidents,” said Jain.
