Maharashtra: Fire guts two small-scale companies in Moshi

PUNE: A major fire gutted two small-scale firms in Moshi on early Friday morning. No one was injured in the blaze, which was doused in two hours.
An officer from the Pimpri Chinchwad fire brigade said the companies are located on the road heading towards Charholi off Pune-Nashik highway. “We received a call around 7am on Friday,” said the officer.
The officer said the fire had already engulfed both the companies by the time fire tenders reached the spot. “Two LPG cylinders also exploded in a company because of the fire. A two-wheeler, which was parked on the premises of the company, was also destroyed in the incident,” he said.
As many as seven fire tenders and over 20 firemen from the Pimpri Chinchwad fire brigade were pressed into service to control the fire. “Both the companies lost several computers, laptops, machinery and raw material to the fire,” he said.
The officials are yet to ascertain the cause behind the fire.
