Fire breaks out at LIC office at Korba district

RAIPUR: A massive fire broke out in the LIC office in Korba in the early hours of Friday. Computer systems and office equipment worth lakhs were gutted. No casualties were reported.
According to the police, the incident came to light when the people went out for the morning walk saw flames coming out of the building. Fire tenders rushed to the spot and began efforts to control the fire. By the time fire was extinguished, there was heavy losses. On getting the information some of the LIC officers and employees also reached the spot. It is believed that the fire flared up due to short circuit. It appeared that the fire started in the inner rooms and it spread to other rooms and well.
