One dead in fire that hit residential area in Davao City

A 19-year-old young man died in a fire that hit a residential area in Davao City on Monday.
The fatality was identified as Arhaman Usman, according to a report by GMA Regional TV Early Edition host Kaitlene Rivilla on Unang Balita on Tuesday.
Usman’s body was found by firefighters during their inspection after putting out the fire, Rivilla said, based on a report of GMA Regional TV One Mindanao.
Investigation showed Usman was able to get out of their house but went back to save a sibling. However, he got trapped in the burning house.
The fire raged for five hours before it was finally put out.
More than 300 residents were rendered homeless due to the fire. They have sought shelter at the gymnasium of the barangay.
Around 1,000 houses were affected by the fire.
One of the possible causes of fire being looked into is a mosquito coil that was left unattended. —KG, GMA News
