Delhi: Minor fire at Connaught Place cafe

NEW DELHI: A minor fire broke out at a restaurant in Connaught Place on Friday morning, officials said, adding that six fire tenders were rushed to the spot and the blaze was contained within an hour.
According to fire office, information about the incident at the cafe in the outer circle of CP was received around 5.30 am.
“There was no casualty. The fire was in the furniture. Since it was early morning, the cafe wasn’t operational. Three employees were sleeping in the cafe who managed to exit. No one was injured,” they said.

The fire started from the first and spread to the second floor and the bar area was gutted.
It is expected that the cause of the fire is a short circuit.
