Fire breaks out at warehouse in Vizag, no casualties

VISAKHAPATNAM: A major fire broke out at a warehouse belonging to a furniture shop at Vadlapudi in Vizag city on Sunday. No casualties and injuries have been reported. However, property estimated to be worth lakhs of rupees has been gutted.
Locals said that they saw thick smoke emanating from a furniture and mattress warehouse on Sunday. Two fire engines reached the spot and doused the flames.
Officials suspect that a short-circuit might have caused the fire. A case was registered and investigation is underway.
