Punjab: Fire in ICU of medical college

BATHINDA: A fire due to short-circuit on Wednesday in the intensive care unit (ICU) of the medicine ward in Faridkot’s Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Hospital, after which six patients were rescued. The fire was later brought under control.
Recently, the same hospital was in a row when health minister Chetan Singh Jouramajra made Baba Farid University of Health Sciences vice-chancellor Dr Raj Bahadur to lie on a patient’s bed. Institute’s medical superintendent Dr Shilekh Mittal said: “The fire started with sparking, so we suspect it to be due to short-circuit.”
