Fire in AI Express engine in Muscat, 145 evacuated

Mumbai: A total of 145 passengers, including four infants, were evacuated using inflatable slides from an Air India Express flight preparing to take off from Muscat on Wednesday after a reported fire in one of the aircraft engines, reports Manju V.
The Boeing 737-800 was taxiing for departure to Kochi when the emergency occurred. According to Omani media, about 14 passengers received minor injuries. Air India Express (AIX) spokesperson said the passengers only had bruises.
