Ahmedabad: Fire breaks out in Shyamal building

AHMEDABAD: Fire broke out on the twelfth floor of a commercial building at Shyamal Crossroads on Sunday evening. No injuries were reported in the incident, though search operations were still on till the time of reporting.
Fire personnel reached the spot at around 10.20pm. According to sources, the fire started on the twelfth floor of Iconic-Shyamal building after the furniture kept on the floor caught fire, possibly because of a short-circuit. The building is under construction.
Ahmedabad Fire and Emergency Services (AFES) officials said that the furniture shop owner had been using the entire floor to store products. Seven fire vehicles were pressed into service to control the blaze. tnn
