Uttar Pradesh: 4 hurt in Bhadohi fire admitted to burn ward of SRN Hospital

PRAYAGRAJ: Four persons including three children, who sustained burn injuries in a major fire at a Durga Puja pandal in Bhadohi district on Sunday night, were admitted to the burn ward of the SRN hospital of the MLN Medical College in Prayagraj on Monday.
Principal of MLN Medical College Dr SP Singh told TOI, “Four of the injured persons, including Kiran Chaurasia (40) and her son Rigved (2.5-year-old), Anushka Chaurasia (10) and Rudra (8) have been admitted to the burn ward of the SRN Hospital on Monday for treatment. Kiran and Rudra sustained 40 and 50 percent burns injuries, respectively, while Anukshka and Rigved sustained 30 and 20 per cent burn injuries, respectively.
Dr Singh further informed TOI that a team of specialized doctors and para-medical staff was assigned to take good care of the patients.
Dr Singh along with other senior medical officials, also inspected the ward and talked to the injured persons and their family members.
While Kiran and her son were undergoing treatment at the burns ward of SRN Hospital, two of her daughters injured in the same incident were undergoing treatment at BHU in Varanasi
It may be recalled that at least five people, including three children, were killed after a fire broke out at a Durga Puja pandal in Bhadoi district on Sunday night. The fire broke out in the Aurai town at the pandal during the aarti to mark Saptami or the seventh day of Navaratra festivities.
