Godown catches fire

Vadodara: The Vadodara fire and emergency services received around 20 calls of fires during the night of Diwali on Monday.
These included a major fire in a godown in Gotri area where six fire engines were rushed to douse the blaze. The godown had tent house material as well as scrap stored inside.
A fire was also reported in timber material stored in a house in the Danteshwar area. Household items kept in a locked house in a housing scheme for the urban poor in the Kalali area also caught fire. A fire cracker or lamp inside the house is believed to be the reason.
Minor fires were reported in other parts of the city too. tnn
