Fire breaks out at factory in Delhi, no casualties

NEW DELHI: A major fire broke out in a footwear factory in the Narela industrial area on Saturday morning, officials said. Twenty-fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No loss of life was reported, they said.
According to the fire department, a call was received around 8 am about a fire at a footwear factory in H block. “No one was inside when the incident took place,” said a senior police official. The fire was doused at 11.45 pm, the official added. “We will wait for the fire report to start any legal action.”
Last week, a fire broke out at a footwear factory in E block.
It began after a blast in a drum with chemicals on the second floor. Three people died in the blaze. Only the second floor of the building was engulfed in fire.
