Fire at SNK Pan Masala factory

Kanpur:A major fire broke out in the generator room of SNK Pan Masala’s factory located at Panki Industrial site No 1, on Monday. Several fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the fire.
The cause of the fire is said to be a short circuit in the electronic panel of the generator. Swarup Nagar resident Naveen Kurele owns a pan masala factory in Panki Industrial area Site No 1 by the brand name of SNK.
On Monday morning, a sudden fire broke out in the generator room of the factory due to a short circuit in the electronic panel. On coming across the high rise flames, the workers present in the factory ran out and alerted the Fire department and the Police control room. On receiving information, several fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and fire personnel doused the fire by using water cannons. Inspector Panki Anjan Kumar Singh said that the fire broke out due to a short circuit in the generator room.
“Fire has been brought under control. None casualties and inury cases repored in mishap,” he added. TNN
