Hyderabad: 2 buses gutted in fire at parking lot

HYDERABAD: Two buses which were parked in a private parking area, caught fire and got gutted in Bahadurpura in the wee hours of Monday.
Bahadurpura police said that they are private buses and during the investigation sabbotage angle was ruled out.These buses were parked in a designated private parking area.
Officials later found that the fire started from a bus and it later spread to the another bus parked next to it. The fire started from the battery of a bus. No one got injured in the incident. Both police and fire department officials reached the spot.
A passerby alerted the night officer about the incident on the fire toll-free number. The later sent a fire tender from Chandulal Baradari within minutes. The estimated loss of the owners was said to be over ₹ 55 lakh, police said. Police and the fire officials suspect that fire triggered due to a short circuit in the electric wiring in the first vehicle. A case under the Fire Act has been registered by the police.
A few days ago, a simiarl incident took place at the RGIA airport wherein a car which was about to be parked caught fire. Later three more cars also got partially burnt.
