Kolkata: Fire at Tiretta Bazar, family rescued

KOLKATA: A fire broke out on the top floor of a four-storey, dilapidated house at Tiretta Bazar near Lalbazar around 7.30pm on Saturday.
A family of four living on the top floor was recused by firemen, police and locals though the fire brigade pointed out that it was difficult for the fire engines to enter the narrow lanes. No one was injured. Four fine engines took over an hour to douse the flames, while a DMG team helped with the rescue operation. The cause of the fire is yet to be determined though damaged cylinders were found at the spot.
