Woman killed in Jhapa fire

JHAPA: A woman died after a fire broke out at the Kankai Community forest in Surunga VDC-5 on Sunday afternoon.
The fire ensued from near the local Bhimsen Than Temple and then spread to the forest.
Police said that the identity of the woman who appeared to be in her 20s is yet to be ascertained.
DSP Bhuwaneshwor Tiwari said that the blaze was later taken under control with the help of locals, police personnel and fire engines of Mechinagar and Damak.
The cause behind the fire is still unclear.
